Business Development Lead

SimVentions is seeking an experienced Business Development Lead to join our team in Virginia Beach. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for executing business development activities within our government marketplace, with a primary focus on the Hampton Roads area.
Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate, and execute business development activities to identify and qualify opportunities in the Hampton Roads market.
- Develop and execute business development strategies that utilize SimVentions' available contracting methods, including IDIQ contracts, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain market position by preparing action plans to develop and maintain relationships with procurement influential federal staff and partners.
- Identify potential teaming partners and work across multiple organizations in pursuit of opportunities.
- Attend Industry Days and other customer outreach conferences/seminars/expos to represent SimVentions and its capabilities, experience, and expertise.
- Participate in high-level planning sessions to meet overall SimV strategy.
- Assist in RFP and RFI writing and reviews as required to help ensure quality submissions.
- Identify key contract vehicles to support potential DoD tasking/funding.
- Support and develop material for internal reviews (e.g., QBSRs, gate reviews, strategy events, etc.).
- Support our customer (internal or external) with developing quality products and data calls that are delivered by the agreed upon time.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Clearance (United States Citizenship Required).
- 8-10 years in a federal government customer-facing BD or program execution leadership role.
- Experience in developing and executing BD activities within the Hampton Roads market focusing on Navy opportunities.
- Experience or strong familiarity with Naval Surface Warfare Center markets and customers.
- Experience or strong familiarity with Naval Information Warfare Center markets and customers.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple business development opportunities at different stages of the capture and proposal process.
- Experience in using a customer relationship application for entering and tracking BD opportunities.
- Experience in the proposal development process.

Our projected annual compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 (USD), which reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
