Position Summary: The Senior Offensive Security Manager is responsible for spearheading the offensive security initiatives within the organization. This role involves executing application and network penetration assessments across all product offerings to evaluate security measures and infrastructure integrity. A profound understanding of offensive security practices, bug bounty management, phishing tactics, and password auditing is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of offensive security methodologies.
  • Implement penetration testing protocols as directed by the leadership, adhering to established security standards and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of the offensive security team.
  • Facilitate the communication and escalation of findings from penetration tests and bug bounty programs.
  • Establish metrics to assess both individual and team contributions to the organization.
  • Assist in internal security investigations and monitor emerging threats.
  • Provide effective leadership to cultivate high-performing teams focused on delivering quality outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of new security tools, trends, policies, and best practices.
  • Engage in open communication with team members, leadership, and clients to collaboratively address business needs.
  • Work alongside Security Architects and Engineers to gather insights and conduct penetration tests.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current vulnerability exploitation techniques.
  • Regularly interact with clients, regulators, and auditors.
  • Support the organization’s commitment to risk management and the protection of system integrity and data confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Education typically obtained through security certifications or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong grasp of both offensive and defensive security, including evasion and detection techniques.
  • Proficient understanding of enterprise and cloud networking and application technologies.
  • A minimum of 4 years in security penetration testing.
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT or information security, including 3 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
  • Proven ability to maintain highly engaged, high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing penetration testing efforts.
  • Familiarity with communication network technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of penetration testing procedures and tools, including Kali Linux and industry-standard software.
  • Expertise in OWASP Top 10 Vulnerabilities and testing methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of information gathering techniques and web application technologies.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in risk analysis related to security vulnerabilities.
  • Strong writing skills for security assessments.
  • Background and drug screening are prerequisites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of security experience in the financial sector.
  • Hands-on Offensive Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., OSCP, OSWE, Pentest+, etc.) or equivalent.
  • General information security management certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, etc.) or equivalent.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty) or equivalent.

Work Environment: The role is primarily office-based, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and extensive computer use. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of light objects may be necessary.
