Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with the Emerson Syncade MES System, with consideration for experience in alternative MES systems.
  • Develop and execute validation protocols effectively.

Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Execution Systems Specialist will be responsible for configuring and validating electronic batch records (EBR) within the Emerson Syncade Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

This position will facilitate the deployment of new products and processes, as well as revisions to EBRs, collaborating with various cross-functional teams.


Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a computer or science-related field.
  • Proven experience with the Emerson Syncade MES System or similar.
  • Proficient in writing and executing validation protocols.
  • Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with GMP documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams.

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of SQL and XML coding within an MES framework. Familiarity with MS Windows Server and SQL Server is advantageous.
  • Experience in cell therapy or biopharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to manufacturing schedules.
  • Experience with BarTender label development.
  • Understanding of MES-ERP integrations.
  • Background in deploying new processes and products within an MES environment.

Key Duties:
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Facilities, and Tech Transfer teams to gather and document detailed requirements.
  • Provide application support for the manufacturing execution system (MES) as necessary.
  • Establish standards and best practices for development and validation tasks.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through design reviews and user acceptance testing during development and validation phases.
  • Plan, develop, peer review, and test solutions for recipe creation and modification.
  • Implement new capabilities across manufacturing systems based on established requirements and specifications.
  • Develop MES solutions, including recipe configurations and system modifications to fulfill business needs.
  • Create and execute system test and operational qualification scripts to validate business and technical requirements.
  • Participate in operational meetings to ensure facility reporting needs are addressed.
  • Mentor and train new MES recipe developers.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service for all stakeholders.
  • Availability for on-call support during off-shift hours, as per a rotating schedule, to assist manufacturing operations.
