Position Summary:

The Senior Vice President of Technology Solutions will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This pivotal role is responsible for steering our IT strategy, overseeing initiatives, and managing operations to ensure the seamless delivery of technological solutions that align with the organization's mission and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical acumen, strategic foresight, and exceptional communication skills. Additionally, this position will involve close collaboration with the Legal and Compliance team to conduct risk assessments and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information and IT assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Direct the management and enhancement of our cloud infrastructure, primarily leveraging Microsoft Azure services.
  • Guarantee the security, scalability, and dependability of our IT systems and applications.
  • Formulate and enforce policies for the procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of IT assets, including hardware and software.
  • Supervise the configuration, installation, and upkeep of hardware and software to maximize performance and reduce downtime.
  • Provide expert guidance on equipment selection and standardization to ensure interoperability and scalability of IT infrastructure.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of generative AI solutions to enhance insights and decision-making in alignment with organizational goals.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Develop and execute an IT strategy that aligns with the organization's overarching goals.
  • Champion innovation and digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify and assess emerging technologies and trends pertinent to our sector, recommending strategic investments accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ascertain business requirements, ensuring IT solutions meet customer needs while optimizing technology use.
  • Drive initiatives to improve user experience across IT systems, emphasizing usability and accessibility.
  • Create and implement training programs and user documentation to empower stakeholders in utilizing IT resources effectively.
  • Communicate IT strategy, priorities, and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Vendor Management:

  • Oversee relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure value and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate and select new vendors and partners to meet evolving IT requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within the healthcare or nonprofit sectors.
  • Strong technical expertise in managing cloud-based infrastructures, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in implementing AI and data analytics solutions, including generative AI algorithms.
  • Proven strategic planning and execution capabilities, with a history of driving digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Physical Requirements:

The incumbent must possess effective communication skills and the ability to perform manual tasks associated with the role, including the use of a personal computer. Travel or movement within and outside facilities may be required.
