Position Description

QIAGEN Digital Insights stands at the forefront of providing analytical tools for biological research and development, including renowned platforms such as Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, OmicSoft, CLC Genomics Workbench, and the Biomedical Knowledgebase.

The Client Engagement Manager (CEM) role presents an exciting opportunity to cultivate relationships and support a diverse array of scientists, primarily within large pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms.

The CEM is tasked with enhancing the utilization of QDI products and services among key accounts.

Collaborating with account managers, the CEM will implement strategic account initiatives, promote product awareness, and proactively engage users to highlight the value of our products, services, and training.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Initiating, organizing, and coordinating meetings with potential, new, or existing users while engaging in scientific discussions to foster relationships.
  • Networking and identifying potential new users within organizations.
  • Becoming a proficient user of QIAGEN's suite of bioinformatics software applications and effectively delivering training to clients.
  • Utilizing extensive scientific knowledge to pinpoint customer challenges and align them with QIAGEN's bioinformatics solutions.
  • Onboarding new users to QDI software and solutions.
  • Developing or leveraging existing training resources as necessary.
  • Establishing regular meetings with product advocates.
  • Collaborating closely with clients to comprehend their product needs and conveying these requirements to product management and engineering teams.
  • Analyzing product usage data and license information to formulate retention and growth strategies.
  • Tracking service engagements and customer requests internally while communicating progress externally.
  • Acting as a liaison between internal teams, particularly field application science, sales, and product management.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Position Requirements

A Ph.D. in life sciences, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field is highly preferred.

Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharma, or biotech research and development is essential.

Customer-facing experience with a proactive approach to establishing new contacts is required.

Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills are crucial.

Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.

Excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills are necessary.

Aptitude for conveying complex computational concepts to non-technical biologists is important.

Willingness to travel to client sites regularly is expected.

Prior experience with Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, Omicsoft, or CLC Genomics Workbench software is highly desirable.

Personal Requirements

A strong work ethic and the ability to maintain focus in a home office environment are essential.

Willingness to travel 10-30% based on home office location.
