Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Supervisor. At Perellion, an engineering firm certified under ISO 9001 and AS9100, we specialize in the design, development, and implementation of innovative automation and manufacturing solutions for advanced technologies, including electric aviation, commercial space exploration, energy storage, and sustainable energy initiatives.

Role Description:

The role of Quality Assurance Supervisor at Perellion presents unique challenges due to the nature of our operations, which differ significantly from traditional manufacturing environments. Our focus is not on mass production; rather, we engage in a limited number of diverse projects that require tailored solutions for our clients. While we conduct all assembly processes internally, we rely heavily on a network of trusted suppliers for fabrication. This distinctive approach to quality management offers flexibility and the opportunity to creatively interpret quality standards in a way that aligns with our business model.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with the current Quality Assurance Manager to gain a comprehensive understanding of our quality management system and the standards we adhere to. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Training new employees on quality protocols and procedures.
  • Conducting internal audits to assess adherence to quality practices.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality metrics.
  • Maintaining and calibrating equipment to ensure operational excellence.

As you develop your expertise, you will be positioned for advancement to the senior role of Quality Assurance Manager, where you will take full responsibility for our quality management system and lead us through annual certification and surveillance audits.

Key Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, essential for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements.
  • Experience in a quality-focused role within an ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 certified organization, with a solid understanding of the ISO 9001 standards.
  • Due to project restrictions, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training in ISO 9000 series quality standards from recognized organizations.
  • Professional experience as a quality manager or in a supporting role.
  • Background in procurement, purchasing, or planning.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments.
  • Mechanical skills related to assembly, inspection, or industrial processes.
  • Familiarity with ITAR compliance regulations.
