Position Overview

We are currently in search of a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance our team in Everett, WA. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in inspection methodologies within an industrial context and will exhibit a thorough understanding of quality assurance protocols and the critical components of the inspection process, including documentation.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Quality Assurance Specialist is to evaluate and document non-conformities in alignment with technical drawings, inspection criteria, or other specifications outlined in the quality assurance framework. Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Detecting defective or non-compliant work
  • Generating reports and documenting the resolution of non-conformities
  • Implementing and recording specific testing protocols
  • Maintaining and distributing precise drawings and redline adjustments
  • Keeping accurate quality control records, documents, and logs
  • Conducting incoming material inspections and vendor assessments as necessary
  • Performing first article, visual, and dimensional inspections throughout the production process
  • Executing additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Familiarity with AWS D1.1/AWS D1.2 welding inspection standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Capability to navigate changes while managing competing priorities
  • Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Competence in standard office software applications
  • CWI certification is advantageous

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality assurance
  • High school diploma or vocational qualification
  • Background in steel fabrication or general construction
  • Ability to interpret engineering and shop drawings

Work Environment

This role involves moderate physical activity within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate full mobility in both upper and lower body, be capable of reaching overhead, and work in various positions including standing, bending, and kneeling. The role may require lifting up to 60 pounds. Exposure to typical shop conditions such as noise, dust, and fumes is expected.
