About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Executive to join our team at Hylant. As a Client Executive, you will be responsible for developing and growing a client book of business, managing and retaining current clients, and identifying new business opportunities within the assigned geography and/or focus area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Sales Development Plans: Originate business with new clients through proactive sales development and lead generation.
  • Build and Maintain a Book of Business: Incrementally grow the book each year by developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Generate Sales Leads: Actively pursue sales leads through regular prospecting, cold calls, networking, account rounding, cross-selling with other departments, and pursuing miscellaneous sales leads.
  • Develop and Expand Relationships: Understand customer requirements, identify and anticipate needs, and provide Hylant solutions to meet these needs.
  • Schedule and Conduct Sales Presentations: Schedule and conduct sales presentations with potential customers for new business.
  • Manage Client Renewals: Manage the client renewal process, identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell based on client needs.
  • Manage a Book of Business: Focus on client strategy, growth, and retention, and/or co-lead a book of business in collaboration with a Managing Partner.
  • Represent Hylant: Represent Hylant at trade and industry events.
  • Negotiate Commission and Fee Arrangements: Manage negotiations on all commission and fee arrangements in accordance with standard pricing guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Insurance Brokerage Sales Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven insurance brokerage sales experience.
  • Solid Foundation of Hylant Sales and Client Service Methodology: Possess a solid foundation of Hylant sales and client service methodology.
  • Active Property & Casualty License: Hold and maintain active Property & Casualty License.
  • Industry Knowledge: Detailed working knowledge of industry resources, benchmarking information, agency management, and risk management principles.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Team Environment: Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
