Working Hours: Varied hours including standard business hours, occasional late shifts, and some weekend hours.

Compensation: $22.87 per hour

Our compensation strategy is designed to offer competitive pay structures that reflect the market and the individual’s qualifications and experience. Discussions regarding salary will take place during the hiring process and may be revisited during performance evaluations and promotional opportunities. Salary levels are determined by Human Resources based on both external market conditions and internal equity.

Key Responsibilities:

The Patient Care Coordinator, under general supervision and in accordance with established protocols, is tasked with efficiently managing patient appointment scheduling and inquiries. This role demands exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to ethical standards. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high productivity and accuracy.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage a high volume of appointment scheduling and incoming calls.
  • Adhere to established protocols when scheduling appointments.
  • Accurately collect, verify, and enter patient information into the scheduling system.
  • Conduct insurance verifications as required.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service to patients.
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in all patient interactions.
  • Address patient inquiries or escalate issues as necessary.
  • Direct calls to appropriate departments.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient typing skills and a friendly telephone demeanor.

Preferred:

  • At least 6 months of clerical experience.
  • Experience in a medical practice setting.
  • Background in a call center environment.
  • Familiarity with appointment scheduling systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position require effective communication with patients, staff, and healthcare providers. The employee must be able to convey accurate information in these interactions. This role is primarily sedentary, requiring the employee to remain in a stationary position for most of the workday. Any additional physical requirements will be communicated by management.
