Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Behavior Technicians. In this capacity, you will have the chance to positively influence the lives of children diagnosed with autism.

Key Responsibilities: As a Behavior Technician, you will engage directly with children, executing tailored behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your role will involve applying evidence-based methods to foster communication, social skills, and daily living competencies while minimizing challenging behaviors.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for individuals who are genuinely committed to assisting children with autism in achieving their maximum potential. The ideal candidate will exhibit patience, empathy, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are well-prepared to support each child, regardless of prior experience.

Physical Requirements: The nature of this role requires physical stamina, as children can be unpredictable. You should be comfortable with various physical activities including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Compensation: $16 - $20

Qualifications:

  • Genuine passion for supporting children with autism
  • Patience, compassion, and teamwork skills
  • Minimum age of 18
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification, along with a Tuberculosis test (if applicable)
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
  • Capability to perform various physical movements (sitting, squatting, bending, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
