Position Overview

The role of the Clinical Specialist is vital at Hope Network Behavioral Health, focusing on supporting behavioral programming and ensuring effective management of personnel. Key responsibilities include: assisting with technician scheduling, providing training for new technicians, and offering coverage when necessary. This position also involves collaboration with the Clinical Director and Business Operations Manager to maintain adherence to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
This outline is not exhaustive and may include additional duties as assigned.

  1. Consistent and reliable attendance is crucial for this role.
  2. Administrative Duties:
    a. Comply with all BACB, PCP, and agency standards for behavioral programming.
    b. Complete Service Activity Logs (SALs) and progress notes promptly after client interactions.
    c. Facilitate orientation and training for new ABA/Behavioral Technicians.
    d. Manage timekeeping, payroll, and policy adherence for technicians in collaboration with administrative teams.
    e. Assist in reviewing schedules to optimize technician coverage.
  3. Clinical Responsibilities:
    a. Provide direct therapy to address staff shortages.
    b. Support BCBAs by conducting necessary assessments for behavioral interventions.
    c. Carry out assessments such as VB-MAPP, PEAK, AFLS, and Vineland.
    d. Conduct training for staff and caregivers in:
    Safety Care
    e. Prepare reports and documentation to support assessment processes.
    f. Aid in implementing behavior reduction plans as required.
    g. Design and monitor skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs under BCBA supervision.
    h. Research relevant literature to support specific learner programs.
    i. Oversee the implementation of behavior analytic programs by other staff.
    j. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and BCBA ethical standards.
    k. Perform naturalistic observations of learners as directed by a BCBA.
    l. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any field, with enrollment in a BACB-recognized master's program.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Clearance from criminal background checks and Central Registry must meet the standards set by Centers for Autism.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in behavioral analytics and programming.
  • Experience providing treatment to individuals with autism as a behavior technician.
  • Clinical experience in both clinic and home-based ABA programming.
