The role of the Clinical Specialist at Hope Network Behavioral Health is pivotal, encompassing various responsibilities aimed at enhancing the quality of care for individuals with autism. This position involves supporting the Behavioral Technician team, managing schedules, training new staff, and assisting in the daily operations of the clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
This outline is not exhaustive and may include additional duties as required:
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance as a fundamental aspect of this role.
- Administrative Duties:
- Ensure compliance with all BACB, PCP, and agency standards for behavioral programming.
- Complete Service Activity Logs (SALs) and progress documentation promptly following client interactions.
- Facilitate the onboarding and training of new ABA/Behavioral Technicians.
- Oversee time management, payroll, and policy adherence for technicians, supporting the administrative teams.
- Collaborate with schedulers to optimize technician schedules and coverage.
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized therapy to address staffing shortages.
- Assist BCBAs in conducting assessments to inform behavioral interventions.
- Perform various assessments including VB-MAPP, PEAK, AFLS, and Vineland.
- Deliver training to staff and caregivers on safety and intervention strategies.
- Document and report findings in a timely manner to support ongoing assessments.
- Assist in implementing behavior reduction plans as needed.
- Design and monitor skill acquisition and behavior modification programs under BCBA supervision.
- Research relevant literature to support specific learner programs.
- Supervise the execution of behavior analytic programs by other staff.
- Adhere to ethical standards including HIPAA and BCBA codes of conduct.
- Conduct observational assessments of learners as directed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any field, with enrollment in a BACB-recognized master's program.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and Central Registry Clearance as per autism service standards.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of experience in behavioral analytics and programming.
- Previous experience providing treatment to individuals with autism as a behavior technician.
- Clinical experience in both clinic and home-based ABA programming.
