Position Overview

The role of the Clinical Specialist at Hope Network Behavioral Health is crucial for ensuring effective support and management within our team. The primary duties include overseeing technician scheduling, providing training for new staff, and offering support to the Clinical Director and Business Operations Manager in daily personnel management and compliance with established protocols.

Additionally, this position involves conducting site orientations, ongoing training, and supervision for Behavior Technicians.



Key Responsibilities:
This list is not exhaustive and may include other duties as assigned.

Attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.

  1. Administrative Duties:
    a. Ensure adherence to all BACB, PCP, and agency standards for behavioral programming and management.
    b. Complete Service Activity Logs (SALs) and progress notes within 48 hours of client contact, as applicable.
    c. Train and supervise new ABA/Behavioral Technicians through an intensive orientation process.
    d. Manage time and attendance, payroll, and policy compliance for technicians in collaboration with Hope Network Administrative Teams and CFA Leadership Team.
    e. Assist in reviewing and adjusting schedules to optimize coverage and efficiency.
  2. Clinical Responsibilities:
    a. Provide one-on-one therapy to address staff shortages.
    b. Support the BCBA by conducting assessments related to behavioral interventions (e.g., stimulus preference assessments, functional assessments, staff performance assessments).
    c. Carry out assessments (VB-MAPP, PEAK, AFLS, Vineland).
    d. Training and Development:
    Provide training for staff and caregivers as qualified, including Safety Care.
    e. Prepare reports and documentation promptly to support assessments.
    f. Assist with the implementation of an assigned learner's behavior intervention plan as needed.
    g. Design, implement, and monitor skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs under the supervision of a BCBA.
    h. Conduct literature reviews to support specific learner programs.
    i. Oversee the execution of behavior analytic programs by other staff.
    j. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and BCBA ethical standards.
    k. Conduct naturalistic observations of learners as directed by a BCBA.
    l. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any field, with enrollment in a master's degree program recognized by the BACB.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Clearance from criminal background checks and Central Registry must meet the standards set by Centers for Autism contracts and policies.

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in behavioral analytics and programming.
  • Prior experience in providing treatment to individuals with autism as a behavior technician.
  • Clinical experience in both clinic and home-based ABA programming.
