Additionally, the representative will be knowledgeable about the Sliding Fee Program and the various health insurance plans accepted by the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes patients and updates their demographic details in the database, ensuring respectful and courteous interactions.
  • Books patient appointments based on available slots while adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Confirms insurance coverage types as per the billing procedures established by the organization.
  • Handles incoming calls and addresses customer inquiries promptly.
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves customer concerns using the available computer systems.
  • Follows up on unresolved customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintains call logs and prepares reports as required.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an office or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Proficient in computer usage and data entry.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, the Internet, and email applications is necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and organized approach.
