The Team

Fidelity Investments is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in Test within our Digital Experience Platform. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining the web user interface and the essential systems that underpin our digital initiatives. You will engage in developing and validating comprehensive features as part of our self-sufficient, cross-disciplinary teams.

As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will leverage your extensive test automation expertise to design, create, evaluate, deploy, sustain, and refine customer-facing software solutions. Additionally, you will assist your team in implementing test automation frameworks and best practices to ensure we are delivering the correct product and executing it effectively.

Qualifications You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in developing, debugging, testing, and supporting web applications.
  • Proven proficiency in development across several of the following technologies: AngularJS/ReactJS, Java, JavaScript, HTML5.
  • Practical experience with web-based and API automation tools such as Protractor, Selenium, Cypress, and REST Assured.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices using tools like Jenkins, uDeploy, Jira, Stash, etc.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of mobile development and testing is advantageous.
  • Experience in delivering software within an Agile framework.

  • Actively engage in the development lifecycle by writing and maintaining application features and automated tests, including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests, and interoperability tests.
  • Support the team in crafting reliable, precise tests and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance the team’s test coverage, release speed, and production stability.
  • Empower the team in designing and developing automation frameworks using Selenium, Protractor, or Robot Framework.
