The Team

You will become a vital member of a dedicated team of engineers focused on developing testing solutions for Fidelity's Core Brokerage product area, which is essential for enhancing our web user experience and the foundational platforms that support our digital initiatives.

Your role will involve leveraging your robust software development and test automation expertise to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance Fidelity Investments' software offerings. Additionally, you will guide your team in implementing best practices to ensure we are creating the right products efficiently and effectively. A strong desire to learn, assess, and recommend new technologies is essential. Our Software Engineers take pride in their expertise, leadership, and ability to foster collaboration across teams.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and AngularJS.
  • Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and Puppeteer.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, uDeploy).
  • Cloud experience, particularly with Amazon Web Services (AWS), is preferred.
  • Focus on deployment automation and orchestration.
  • Ability to assist with code branches, merges, builds, and version management.
  • Utilize your knowledge of testing and testability to advocate for improved software design, promote sound engineering practices, and implement bug prevention strategies.
  • Actively engage in the development process by writing and maintaining application features and automated tests, including unit, component, integration, functional, performance, scenario, and interoperability tests.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance test coverage, release velocity, and overall production health.
  • Experience delivering software in an Agile environment.
