Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to clients in our women's residential treatment programs, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assist clients with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Conduct facility and grounds inspections to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting clients and conducting tours of the unit.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the unit, ensuring a healthy environment for clients.
  • Assist with laundry duties and ensure timely completion of client job function assignments.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical documentation, including progress notes and shift reports.
  • Coordinate discharges in consultation with the treatment and case management team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Ability to work weekends, variable shifts, and holidays.
  • Basic typing and computer skills.
