Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our clients, providing support with daily living activities, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assist clients with activities of daily living, including meal delivery and laundry duties.
  • Conduct facility and grounds inspections to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting clients, admitting them to the unit, and conducting tours and orientations.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the unit, including organizing group rooms and meeting spaces.
  • Coordinate discharges in consultation with the treatment and case management team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, social work, or nursing.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Ability to work weekends, variable shifts, and holidays.
  • Basic typing and computer skills.
