About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. As a key member of our HOPE program, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assist clients with activities of daily living, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility and grounds to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting clients upon arrival and ensuring a smooth transition into treatment.
  • Assist with laundry duties, meal delivery, and other tasks as needed to support the well-being of our clients.
  • Monitor client job function assignments and provide guidance and support as required.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical documentation, including progress notes and shift reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or co-occurring disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and external partners.
  • Basic typing and computer skills, with proficiency in electronic health records.
  • A valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
