PRIMARY PURPOSE: This role is dedicated to fostering, enhancing, and developing lasting relationships with current and prospective members by guiding and educating them in managing their accounts and financial well-being. The focus is on building enduring connections and promoting products and services that contribute to their financial success.

WORK SCHEDULE: Standard hours with occasional weekend shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Assist members with fundamental inquiries related to account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
  • Proactively inform members about the advantages and features of the Credit Union's offerings while actively cross-selling and referring them to suitable loan, deposit, and fee-based products.
  • Establish trust and enduring relationships with members through engagement, education, and a consultative approach.
  • Provide notarial services to members, ensuring proper documentation and identity verification.
  • Receive guidance from management while exercising judgment within established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline by gathering member contact details and scheduling follow-ups for further engagement.
  • Refer members to financial specialists as necessary.
  • Diagnose and research to resolve moderately complex member issues, collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Consistently surpass established sales targets.
  • Assist and follow up with members regarding fraud, account maintenance, and other unique needs to ensure exceptional service.
  • Engage with the community through participation in sponsored events and initiatives.
  • Stay informed about current promotions and participate in activities to support organizational goals.
  • Adhere to risk and compliance protocols to protect member assets and privacy.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor by being respectful and considerate in all communications and maintaining a tidy workspace.
  • Provide support to other teams within Retail Delivery as needed.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS: To excel in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • High School diploma is mandatory.
  • Some college education is preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales abilities and at least one year of experience in member service or retail banking are preferred.
  • Experience in cash handling is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with banking and credit union regulations is preferred.
  • Experience in recommending financial products to enhance a member's financial situation is beneficial.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service quality.
  • Exceptional member service skills with a focus on member satisfaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional setting.
  • Proficient in MS Office and general office equipment.
  • Comfortable with self-service technology.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Maintain composure and a solutions-oriented mindset in problem-solving situations.
  • Demonstrated reliability and accountability.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Punctual and committed to working all scheduled hours.
  • Must obtain or possess a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) unique qualifier.
  • Notary license required upon hire.
  • Must be bondable.
