PRIMARY PURPOSE:

This role is dedicated to fostering, developing, and enhancing member relationships by guiding and educating them in managing their accounts and financial matters. The aim is to cultivate long-term connections while promoting products and services that contribute to their financial well-being.

Delivering personalized, professional service to all members in an outstanding manner and actively seeking opportunities for additional business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following:
Assist members with fundamental requests related to establishing new accounts, fulfilling service requests, and processing credit applications.

Proactively inform members about the features and advantages of the Credit Union's offerings while actively cross-selling and making qualified referrals for suitable loan, deposit, and fee income products and services.

Build trust and enduring relationships with members by establishing a personal connection through engagement, education, asking open-ended questions, listening attentively, and employing a consultative approach.

Responsible for providing notarial services to members, including witnessing and authenticating documents and verifying members' identities.
Receive guidance from managers and exercise judgment within established policies and procedures.

Maintain a robust sales pipeline by gathering member contact information and scheduling follow-ups for individuals requiring further engagement.

Refer members to financial specialists as necessary (e.g., First Mortgage and Financial Advisors).
Diagnose and research to resolve moderately complex member issues, including collaborating with other departments for issue resolution.
Consistently surpass established sales targets.

Assist, serve, and follow up as needed with members dealing with fraud and forgery, deceased accounts, retirement services, account maintenance, business needs, and other unique account types to meet their ongoing needs and deliver exceptional service.

Support the branch community by participating in sponsored events and/or community initiatives.
Stay informed about all promotions and engage in contests and activities to support organizational goals.

Adhere to risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure the safeguarding of members' assets, maintaining their privacy, and acting in their best interest.

Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Consistently project a professional image by being respectful, courteous, and considerate of members and colleagues through both verbal and non-verbal communication, adhering to dress code, and maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.

Provide assistance to other teams within Retail Delivery, if necessary, which may involve travel.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this role, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the education, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

High School diploma required.
Some college experience is preferred.
Demonstrated sales skills and 1 year of member service or retail banking experience preferred.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations is preferred.
Experience in recommending products and plans to enhance a member's financial position is preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment while maintaining a commitment to quality service.

Excellent member service skills with a member-focused mindset.

Desire, ability, and experience in working with and assisting others in a professional setting with a polished business appearance.

Act as part of a cohesive team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with other employees.

Proficient with MS Office products and general office equipment.
Comfortable and confident with self-service technology.
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and integrity.
Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals of diverse personalities.
Ability to maintain composure and problem-solve with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, and personal accountability.
Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Consistently punctual, works all scheduled hours, and is willing to work overtime as required by business demand.
Required to obtain or possess a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) unique qualifier (NMLS registration number).

Must have the ability to successfully complete all MLO Registry requirements, including passing background and credit checks and submitting to fingerprinting and any other requirements of the rules enacted pursuant to the S.A.F.E.
