Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales and enhancing profit margins while fostering market expansion. This position is accountable for the retention, growth, and satisfaction of both existing and prospective clients, ensuring comprehensive coverage within a designated territory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Boost sales of OEM Hydraulic hoses within targeted client accounts.
  • Identify, engage, and cultivate new market opportunities and customer relationships.
  • Maintain effective collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing, Management, and all relevant customer stakeholders.
  • Implement the FCG Professional Sales Growth Program and adhere to the established sales strategy for ongoing development.
  • Employ the five stages of the sales process methodology to prospect, qualify, propose product/service solutions, facilitate positive decisions, acquire new clients, and expand existing accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Utilize and maintain CRM systems, including Pipeline, Open Order Reports, Driving Logs, etc.
  • Recognize customer needs and advocate for FCG Division products and solutions to both current and potential clients.
  • Conduct follow-ups on all account activities to ensure order precision and adherence to timelines, ensuring customer satisfaction. Notify supervisors when addressing critical customer satisfaction challenges.
  • Participate in Vendor and FCG training sessions and sales meetings.
  • Keep accurate records of customer information, including contacts, project documentation, competitive analysis, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in Fluid Power Sales is preferred, with Fluid Power Certification being advantageous but not mandatory; Comprehensive understanding of Hydraulic hoses and fittings; Exceptional customer service skills; Strong written and verbal communication abilities; Ability to take ownership of responsibilities; Self-motivated and capable of functioning independently as well as collaboratively within a team; Proficient in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
