In a competitive landscape, successful Route Sales Representatives must effectively balance outstanding customer service with achieving individual sales growth targets. As representatives of the organization, RSR Drivers work diligently to foster goodwill and loyalty while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle within designated routes to deliver products and services to diverse clients.
- Conduct daily vehicle maintenance checks and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
- Independently manage daily routes to guarantee timely and accurate product delivery.
- Load and unload products in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Review invoices for accuracy and make necessary corrections.
- Achieve sales objectives and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
- Identify and develop leads, engage prospective customers, and establish new accounts.
- Assist the sales team in acquiring additional business opportunities.
- Clearly communicate services, policies, and pricing to customers.
- Monitor customer feedback and address issues promptly and courteously.
- Prioritize personal safety and adhere to all safety protocols and practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned that align with the responsibilities outlined above.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Experience in customer service with frequent client interactions.
- Strong mathematical and basic computer skills.
- Preferred experience in sales and generating new business.
- Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and quickly resolve customer concerns.
Working Environment and Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of lifting and maneuvering at least 25 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs. The role requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures. The position demands flexibility with hours and a fast-paced work environment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Driver's License (non-CDL) required.
This position involves travel for loading and unloading as necessary.
