Position Overview:

A Fleet Jobs Customer Service Coordinator is dedicated to collaborating with clients to arrange preventative maintenance appointments, oversee external repairs, and organize the workflow within the service department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate daily and weekly staffing plans by considering client requirements, projected unscheduled repairs, available components, technician expertise, and working hours to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with clients as necessary for maintenance updates, including schedule modifications, billing inquiries, or to address service concerns.
  • Ensure that all rental units are serviced and ready for client use.
  • Confirm the availability of parts for planned maintenance.
  • Hold suppliers accountable for quality and adherence to timelines for external services.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
  • Maintain productivity in the service department by optimizing workflow.
  • Collaborate with billing clerks as required.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service is required.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience is necessary.
  • Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in service department administration.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.
  • ASE certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience with service scheduling and diagnostic software is preferred.
  • The candidate must be able to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, and regulations established by management.
  • The candidate must adhere to all safety and maintenance policies, including the correct use of tools, personal protective equipment, and best safety practices.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a fundamental requirement of the role.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary and work the required schedule is essential.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.

  • The associate must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated platforms.
  • The associate must be able to work safely in all weather conditions.
  • Given the frequent movement of large vehicles through the workplace, the associate must be able to see and hear to navigate the work environment safely.
  • The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
