Position Overview:

A Fleet Jobs Customer Service Coordinator is dedicated to collaborating with clients to arrange preventative maintenance requests, oversee external repairs, and effectively manage the workshop schedule.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate daily and weekly workforce strategies by considering client requirements, projected unscheduled repairs, available components, technician expertise, and working hours to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Engage with clients as necessary for maintenance updates, including schedule alterations, billing inquiries, or to address service-related concerns.
  • Ensure that all rental units are properly maintained and ready for client use.
  • Confirm the availability of parts for planned maintenance tasks.
  • Hold external vendors accountable for quality standards and adherence to timelines for outsourced work.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
  • Maintain workshop productivity by optimizing the operational plan.
  • Collaborate with billing clerks as required.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience is necessary.
  • Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in service department administration.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.
  • ASE certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience with service scheduling and diagnostic software is preferred.
  • The candidate must understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by management.
  • The candidate must adhere to DOT, OSHA, and all safety and maintenance policies, including the proper selection and use of tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established safety practices.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the role.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary and work the required schedule is essential.

  • While performing the duties of this role, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods throughout their scheduled working hours.
  • The associate is required to use their hands routinely to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or operate necessary tools or controls.
  • The associate must be able to work safely at heights using appropriate ladders and elevated work platforms.
  • The associate must be able to work safely in all weather conditions.
  • Given the frequent movement of large vehicles through the workplace, the associate must be able to see and hear to navigate the work environment safely.
  • The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
