Position Summary

We are in search of a results-oriented sales professional tasked with overseeing the complete software sales lifecycle. This role encompasses prospecting, understanding client needs, delivering impactful presentations, crafting tailored solutions, preparing proposals, and nurturing relationships with both potential and existing clients within the re/insurance sector across North America.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong intellectual curiosity, enabling them to grasp the essential scientific principles and statistics that drive our probabilistic models. Familiarity with the software applications used to access these models is crucial, as is the ability to align our offerings with client business needs. A proactive, innovative mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer value are essential. You will be adept at identifying key decision-makers and influencers, skillfully navigating complex enterprise sales cycles to expand your account portfolio and enhance annual revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively prospect, identify, and cultivate sales opportunities through a typically intricate enterprise sales process, from initial contact to finalization.
  • Utilize your interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Employ your excellent communication abilities to develop and present proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing multiple transactions concurrently and negotiating long-term contracts.
  • Engage with a diverse range of decision-makers and effectively coordinate internal stakeholder support.
  • Show a proven track record of success in engaging with company executives in a competitive landscape.
  • Set and monitor quarterly and annual objectives for each account, maintaining detailed records within our CRM system.
  • Occasionally travel to engage with re/insurance firms and represent the company at industry events across North America.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years in selling complex software solutions, preferably within the insurance sector, in a closing capacity (SaaS or On-premise).
    • Experience with a carrier in the Property & Casualty Insurance sector is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with catastrophe modeling is beneficial.
  • Education:
    • A Bachelor's degree is required (preferably in Science, Mathematics, or Engineering).
    • An MBA is a plus.
  • Location:
    • Preference for candidates who can work in the Boston office 1-2 days per week.
    • Fully remote options are available for qualified candidates.
