The Senior Manager will be responsible for directing the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting project plans, showcasing exceptional project management abilities, client engagement, and effective mentorship to team members to foster their technical and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and technical accounting documentation by the engagement team, ensuring thorough review of accounting memos and financial statements to assess potential solutions and guide the team on subsequent actions.
- Conduct independent research and supervise team members in exploring complex accounting issues, collaborating with them to assess potential solutions and provide direction on next steps.
- Manage multiple client engagements concurrently while mentoring and developing team members throughout the engagement process.
- Evaluate resource requirements and engagement profitability to ensure timely invoicing, managing engagement profit margins through the client billing process, and aligning expectations between clients and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- CPA certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in public accounting or professional services strongly preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds occasionally.
This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
