Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and high-caliber Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Abbott. This role is pivotal in our Plymouth, MN facility, specifically supporting our Electrophysiology (EP) medical device division. In this capacity, you will contribute to advancing heart disease treatment through groundbreaking medical technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and report financial results on a monthly basis, as well as during budget cycles and for any ad-hoc analyses requested by leadership.
  • Develop a deep understanding of financial activities and variances to provide informed responses to leadership inquiries.
  • Prepare financial presentation materials for executive meetings.
  • Engage in projects or tasks as assigned by management.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing and supplying relevant reports and analyses.

  • Implement effective and efficient business practices to execute processes while continuously evaluating their appropriateness.
  • Exercise sound judgment in planning, organizing, and executing work; monitor performance and report status within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the quality of services meets both internal and external customer requirements, staying updated on developments in your field of expertise.
  • Represent the organization effectively, resolving issues and determining priorities related to the above responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of six years of financial analyst experience with increasing responsibility, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of balance sheet transactions and their effects on the income statement.
  • Proven track record of implementing new processes effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills for building and maintaining financial models.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system software and Hyperion Planning/Essbase systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced credentials such as an MBA, CPA, CMA, or CPIM designation, or equivalent.
