As a Family Support and Reunification Coordinator, you will work under the guidance of a program supervisor to enhance the relationships between children and their families. Your role will involve assisting parents in improving their parenting abilities, advocating for their children's needs, and teaching families essential self-care and coping strategies through a structured, evidence-based approach. You will also facilitate access to necessary behavioral health services and community resources to support families during and after the reunification process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with families to identify and address their immediate needs, including independent living skills, budgeting, housing stability, and employment opportunities.
  • Develop a tailored Family Reunification Service Plan with input from the family, setting clear goals and regularly updating the plan to reflect progress and new objectives.
  • Encourage family participation in community and school activities, assisting with the transition of children into their home school district when necessary.
  • Maintain open communication with the program supervisor and other team members, promptly addressing any concerns or developments related to assigned cases.
  • Provide transportation for clients to family visits and appointments, ensuring the safety and well-being of children during these interactions.
  • Document all services provided and complete required reports in a timely manner.

Application Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human services or a related field, along with experience in engaging with children and families.
  • Knowledge of family dynamics, child development, and effective parenting practices, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in customer service and intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet).
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule.
