Position Title: Security Officer

Position Overview:

The Security Team is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of the venue at all times. We seek a professional individual to create a secure, welcoming environment for both guests and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage access control to the facility, preventing unauthorized entry and activities.
  • Oversee the video surveillance system and perform various computer-related tasks.
  • Administer the electronic access control system, including door operations and account management.
  • Conduct screenings with metal detectors and x-ray equipment.
  • Maintain security logs and registers consistently.
  • Patrol the facility regularly, including walking and climbing stairs.
  • Identify and address safety and security concerns, escalating issues to the Security Supervisor as necessary.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance visitor experiences.
  • Utilize radios effectively, demonstrating strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols, managing high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Operate vehicle gates, fire alarms, and other life safety systems.
  • Collaborate with local emergency services as required.

Shift Details:

  • Shift lengths may vary based on operational needs, with potential for up to 8 hours on any day, including weekends and holidays.
  • Availability to work at least two-thirds of scheduled events each month is required, primarily during evenings and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to wear the assigned uniform during all shifts.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Prior experience in security is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid California Guard Card is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a background check with no felony convictions.
  • Ability to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to operate and handle equipment weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach overhead, and lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Physically navigate stairs and elevated areas during work hours and events.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods both indoors and outdoors.
