Position Overview:

The Coca-Cola Sponsored Sharks and Barracuda Street Team Member is a part-time role focused on executing hockey-related events and initiatives for the San Jose Sharks and San Jose Barracuda. This position will also assist with various marketing activities and provide support during Barracuda game nights.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and lead Team Teal street hockey clinics at local educational institutions, after-school programs, and community centers.
  • Represent the organization at community outreach events, including festivals, fairs, and team-related activities.
  • Facilitate Team Teal marketing, educational, and fan engagement programs in local schools and community centers.
  • Assist with in-office tasks and game-day responsibilities as directed by the Sharks or Barracuda, including mailings and event preparations.
  • Support Barracuda home game nights by managing concourse tables within the Frenzy Fun Zone and enhancing fan experiences.
Work Schedule:
  • Availability to work 20+ hours per week, including days, evenings, weekends, and events based on the schedule.
  • Commitment to work a minimum of 29 Barracuda Pre and regular season game dates, including all playoff games.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must reside in the Bay Area; relocation or travel expenses are not covered.
  • Ability to work 20+ hours per week, including varied shifts.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a standard background check.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport within and outside the organization.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Ability to manage cash transactions effectively.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to provide hockey instruction is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate stairs and catwalks during work hours and events.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods both indoors and outdoors.
