Reports To: Guest Experience Manager
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage
Position Summary
As a part-time Usher, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests attending events at the SAP Center and Tech CU Arena. You will embody the core values of our organization while providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing guest inquiries related to directions, events, and parking.
- Assist in the security screening process to maintain a safe atmosphere for all attendees.
- Enforce entry and exit policies, as well as the prohibited items list.
- Scan tickets at entry points and verify seating arrangements to ensure guests are in the correct sections.
- Patrol assigned areas to assist guests with any concerns or questions regarding their seating.
- Facilitate access to premium service areas, ensuring a high level of hospitality.
- Monitor access to floor seating for ticketed and general admission events.
- Assist guests in designated seating areas, informing them of emergency procedures upon arrival.
- Oversee the Penthouse Terrace, Plazas, and suites to ensure proper access and enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, ensuring a tidy environment.
Qualifications:
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong situational awareness to identify potential issues and opportunities.
- Ability to read and interpret ticket information accurately.
- Critical thinking skills to provide clear directions to guests.
- Effective communication skills to interact positively with a diverse range of guests.
- Dependability in maintaining acceptable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions diligently.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and crouch for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and navigate stairs and catwalks.
- Willingness to stand for long durations, both indoors and outdoors.
