Position Summary
We are currently in search of a dedicated Custodian/Maintenance Technician with a solid mechanical background and exceptional cleaning skills. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, including offices, restrooms, break areas, and production spaces. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic, dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure regular and punctual attendance, as it is crucial for both individual and team effectiveness.
  • Accurately enter data into the maintenance management system in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform cleaning duties in offices, lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, locker areas, outdoor spaces, and production floors.
  • Responsibilities include waste collection, restocking supplies, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning windows, dusting, and maintaining floor cleanliness.
  • Monitor and maintain proper functioning of drains and clean water dispensers and fountains as needed.
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals safely, adhering to instructions and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Manage waste disposal in all areas of the facility.
  • Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
  • Keep track of cleaning supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Follow the established cleaning schedule and take direction as needed.
  • Maintain the exterior of the building, including landscaping and snow removal.
  • Utilize clean tools and equipment for all cleaning tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
Preferred Experience:
  • At least one year of related experience as a custodian or maintenance technician.
  • Commitment to safety and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information effectively.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills and basic maintenance knowledge.
  • Familiarity with using tools and measuring devices.
  • Potential for CPR and first aid training.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols including lockout/tagout and fall protection.
  • Experience in plumbing is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong range of motion and physical agility.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Visual and auditory capabilities to follow instructions and operate equipment.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Compliance with safety regulations, including the use of seatbelts.
