Position Summary:We are currently seeking a Facility Maintenance Specialist who possesses both mechanical aptitude and exceptional custodial skills. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, which includes offices, restrooms, break areas, and production floors.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic, dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain regular and punctual attendance as it is crucial for both individual and team effectiveness.
- Accurately enter data into the maintenance management system in a timely manner.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform cleaning duties in various areas including offices, lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, and production areas.
- Responsibilities include picking up debris, restocking supplies, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining cleanliness of appliances and floors.
- Monitor and maintain proper function of drains and address clogs as necessary.
- Utilize cleaning chemicals safely, adhering to guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Manage waste disposal from all areas of the facility.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Keep track of cleaning supplies and reorder as needed.
- Perform exterior maintenance including landscaping and snow removal.
- Follow cleaning schedules and instructions provided.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 0-1 years of relevant experience. Basic math skills and proficiency in both oral and written communication are essential. A valid U.S. driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is mandatory.
Desired Skills:- Minimum of one year of related experience as a custodian or maintenance technician.
- Ability to prioritize safety and promote a secure work environment.
- Effective communication skills to relay information clearly and listen actively.
- Strong self-management and organizational skills.
- Entry-level maintenance experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with plumbing is a plus.
The physical demands of this position require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform various physical activities including reaching, stooping, kneeling, and bending. The role may involve working in extreme temperatures and requires the use of PPE.
