Position Location: This role is situated at our JW Williams facility.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are in search of a Maintenance Technician who excels in diagnosing complex mechanical issues efficiently and safely throughout the facility. This role encompasses both preventative and corrective maintenance, requiring extensive expertise in machinery repair. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a robust work ethic, dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consistent and timely attendance is crucial for the effectiveness of this role and the overall team.

  • Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all assigned machinery.
  • Effectively troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Execute welding and fabrication tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into the maintenance management system.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 0-1 years of relevant work experience is necessary.
  • Basic mathematical skills are required.
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication is essential.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record is mandatory.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
  • Welding and cutting skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, commitment to safety, and attention to quality.
  • Competence in using a workbench and computer systems.
  • Experience with measurement tools and meters.
  • Potential requirement for CPR and first aid certification.
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures, fall protection, PPE, and confined space training.

  • Capacity to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Requirement to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Physical ability to access all areas of the facility.
  • Some tasks may require working in confined spaces.
  • Some tasks may necessitate close vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus on small details.
  • Driving is a key function of this role; a clean driving record is essential.
