Role Summary:

The Campaign Coordinator is integral to the execution of campaign communications and fundraising strategies for the Missouri Historical Society (MHS). This role demands exceptional communication abilities to engage various stakeholders, craft impactful messaging, and bolster fundraising efforts under the supervision of the Managing Director of Philanthropy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Managing Director of Philanthropy in strategizing and executing diverse campaign communications and messaging to enhance brand visibility and connect with target demographics.
  • Create engaging content for fundraising documents, including donor proposals, leveraging insights from MHS subject matter experts.
  • Produce content for donor communications and collaborate with Marketing and Communications (Marcomm) teams to generate philanthropy-related material for social media, publications, advertisements, scripts, public service announcements, and informational flyers, emphasizing effective storytelling.
  • Work alongside the Managing Director of Philanthropy and Marcomm staff on communication initiatives, assess performance metrics, and align strategies with donor engagement objectives.
  • Support the development committee of the MHS Board of Trustees and campaign leaders by coordinating meetings, preparing presentations, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage documentation of donor and prospect meetings and assist in maintaining precise records and reports within fundraising databases for the Managing Director of Philanthropy.
  • Participate in organizational committees and undertake additional responsibilities as necessary to achieve operational goals.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with staff and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Required Skills:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity, precision, and impactful messaging.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with fundraising databases.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, adept at multitasking, and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, think independently, and demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Openness to learning and adapting to new technologies, strategies, and organizational requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit fundraising, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, or fundraising.
