As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve our objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Oversee and supervise the Assistant Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Supervisors, and BOH Staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional service to our guests.
• Provide support and opportunity for continuous productive feedback to ensure a positive and productive working environment.
• Ensure line checks are reviewed and completed at the beginning of every AM and PM shifts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date daily food logs.
• Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive working environment.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring all food and products are prepared and served according to our recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Review staffing levels to ensure the kitchen and function areas can be staffed at all times within the payroll budget allotted, working with HR to prepare schedules.
• Assist with coordinating and organizing private events, acting as a liaison between Events and Operations.
• Make employment and termination decisions for BOH staff, managing performance and providing feedback as required.
• Continuously strive to develop kitchen staff in all areas of managerial and professional development, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional service.
• Oversee and supervise management team and tasks assigned to them, providing support and opportunity for continuous productive feedback.
• Ensure all products are received in correct unit count and condition, and deliveries are performed in accordance with our receiving policies and procedures.
• Review food estimated costs to ensure proper budgeting and cost effectiveness, working with managers, suppliers, and accountants to optimize purchasing.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with vendors, suppliers, and maintenance personnel, ensuring all health and safety restaurant policies and procedures are followed.
• Manage on and off-site catering events when necessary, ensuring exceptional service and quality.
