Position Overview:
This role necessitates US Citizenship.

As a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be accountable for overseeing the electrical operations associated with various projects, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:


Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with client representatives and project stakeholders.
- Engage with operational teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Support subcontractor activities through effective communication and coordination.
- Conduct thorough reviews of design documentation to assess feasibility for construction.
- Perform material takeoffs and manage procurement processes.
- Utilize software tools such as SetRoute, BPS, and TeamWorks for project management.
- Oversee the preparation of quantity listings for materials and equipment, initiating purchase requisitions as necessary.
- Develop comprehensive work packages for project execution.
- Assist in the design of temporary construction facilities and ensure accurate documentation of as-built drawings.
- Aid in scheduling and coordinating work activities, interpreting design documents, and monitoring equipment installations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental protection standards and proper material storage.
- Review specifications, purchase orders, and technical documents to provide guidance on-site.
- Coordinate with site management regarding contract administration activities.
- Assist in the preparation of construction estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Evaluate vendor bids to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Facilitate the integration of construction automation plans with project controls at the job site.


Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Level 1: B.S. Degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 1 year of experience, or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Level 2: B.S. Degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution with at least 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Capability to obtain site security clearance for worksite access.
- Physical ability to conduct field inspections and participate in project evaluations, which may involve extensive walking, climbing, and maneuvering in confined spaces.


Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven knowledge and experience in DOE, DOD, and/or commercial nuclear construction projects.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with current design codes and standards, including NFPA and NQA-1 requirements.
- Understanding of environmental compliance standards relevant to NNSA/DOE projects.
- Awareness of safety programs, particularly Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" initiative.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent experience in commercial nuclear projects, particularly with Bechtel EPC.
- Background as an Electrical Field Engineer or Area Lead Electrical Field Engineer.
- Experience in reviewing multidisciplinary field drawings and plans, including P&IDs.
- Knowledge of Bechtel's Standard Work Processes and related applications.
- Experience in developing construction work packages and familiarity with project management databases.

- Pay Rate: $20.31 - $43.91, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
