The Senior Analyst is expected to cultivate and sustain a robust understanding of client operations and leverage their media expertise to fulfill client objectives effectively.
They will collaborate closely with their supervisor in formulating and communicating all search and commerce strategies.Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop paid search and commerce strategies across various search engines and relevant platforms.
2. Monitor and optimize campaign performance to align with business goals.
3. Conduct and analyze keyword research essential for new campaign development.
4. Gather necessary data for strategic planning.
5. Organize keywords into ad groups and create pertinent ad copy and extensions.
6. Present strategic recommendations and incorporate client feedback into keyword and copy proposals.
7. Upon campaign approval, create flowcharts and input buys into the management system.
8. Generate required documentation for purchase authorization and ensure vendor signatures are obtained.
9. Serve as the primary contact for trafficking approved plans into search engines.
10. Conduct quality assurance of all campaign elements prior to launch.
11. Oversee campaign budgets, pacing, and bid adjustments.
12. Advocate for campaign modifications based on performance trends.
13. Actively monitor and manage performance metrics and competitive landscape.
14. Develop and implement optimization strategies and testing plans (e.g., search query reports, negative keyword maintenance, keyword overlap testing).
15. Analyze data to produce campaign reports and derive strategic insights with actionable recommendations.
16. Create clear, concise, and coherent quantitative analyses with strong data visualization.
17. Participate actively in client status and reporting meetings, including presenting findings.
18. Manage the monthly billing cycle, including invoice tracking and buy actualization.
19. Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with client strategy and billing teams.
20. Acquire proficiency in all relevant tools for reporting, analytics, and competitive analysis.
21. Master core metric calculations and relationships (e.g., CPC, CPA, CTR, SOV, weighted averages).
22. Act as a subject matter expert for analysts and provide training and support for ad hoc inquiries.
23. Build strong working relationships with client teams and partner agencies to facilitate seamless communication.
24. Establish professional rapport with sales representatives and media vendors.
25. Collaborate with management to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
26. Ensure timely delivery of all assignments.
27. Successfully complete training programs and obtain necessary certifications.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in paid media with a focus on commerce.
- Proficient in buying and planning across multiple platforms, including Google, Bing, and AMS.
- Familiarity with Amazon, Walmart, and Target platforms.
- Experience with AMS, AAP, Criteo, and/or Google Ads is preferred.
- Knowledge of Amazon Retail Analytics (ARA) and third-party digital shelf reporting tools is advantageous.
- Experience in a client-facing role is essential.
- Ability to utilize paid media to enhance earned media campaigns and achieve business objectives.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
