Position Overview

As a key player in our Water division, you will collaborate with some of the most talented engineers and scientists in the industry. Our approach to water management emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of its role within communities, viewing it as an integrated system rather than isolated networks.


Your Role

In this position, you will take on the responsibilities of an intermediate civil engineer, managing smaller projects independently while contributing to larger initiatives as part of a team. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating, selecting, and engineering systems or products tailored to project needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects of moderate complexity and size.
  • Act as the Engineer-of-Record for assigned projects.
  • Conduct advanced engineering design tasks under the guidance of the Project Technical Lead or Project Manager, including the creation of engineering drawings and reports.
  • Facilitate project coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in client meetings to discuss project requirements and conduct value analysis and cost estimation.
  • Participate in the permitting process, collaborating with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, ensuring effective task delegation.
  • Assist in managing project scope, budget, staffing, and timelines.
  • Prepare and coordinate project specifications and construction documents.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on project deliverables.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including:

  • Gravity and pressure systems
  • Geotechnical and survey methodologies
  • Stormwater and drainage design
  • Road design and erosion control

Additionally, you should demonstrate:

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication abilities for effective client interactions.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant codes and legal requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and civil engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil3D.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required, along with a Professional Engineer license and a minimum of six years of relevant experience.


This role may involve a mix of office and fieldwork, requiring adaptability to various working conditions.
