Job Overview

Relion Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Lines team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional client service and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance companies, and producers to ensure seamless service delivery and retention.
  • Process policy changes and endorsements accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Review contracts and process complex certificates of insurance with precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies and producers to meet client expectations and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze existing insurance policies to identify coverage gaps, redundancies, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Cross-sell additional lines of business and refer prospects to the appropriate department or producer.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, both internal and external.
  • Support producers in retaining business and serve as a backup to the claims department as needed.
  • Maintain and update electronic client accounts within EPIC and carrier portals.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, new products, legislation, and technology to enhance knowledge and performance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three to five years' experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Commercial, Personal, Life, and/or Health Lines License is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain appointments with all carriers required.
  • Proficiency in commonly used computer systems and software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets is preferred.
  • Expanded knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage and maintain client accounts is preferred.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to relay complex information and interpret complex data.
  • Mathematical skills to perform calculations and analyze data.
  • Reasoning abilities to understand and follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with teammates.
