Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead our manufacturing engineering and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in our production processes, overseeing a project portfolio, and ensuring compliance with latest GMP/CE/ISO regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all production support activities, resolve problems, and implement new processes and products.
  • Coach and provide technical expertise to support new product development and launches.
  • Ensure the proper development of validation plans and maintenance of current protocols to comply with GMP/ISO/CE regulations.
  • Generate and handle budgets to achieve desired results.
  • Oversee the development of training programs and maintenance protocols for processes and equipment.
  • Lead staff providing career support, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure proper application of established company policies, including those regarding GMP's, safety, and employee relations.
  • Participate in hazard recognition and control, including sponsoring capital improvements, if necessary.
  • Verify compliance with controls and preventative measures, including PPE.
  • Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures, including LEAN manufacturing based on TPS.
  • Foster, drive, and facilitate continuous improvement and team building environments.
  • Prepare and/or approve capital equipment requests with complete justification and analysis.
Requirements
  • Ten years of progressive experience in a technical environment with specific machining or mechanical assembly and automation experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in engineering or other professional management.
  • Understanding of the business and the marketplace, with the ability to apply knowledge to advance the organization's goals.
  • Making complex decisions, including anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency.
  • Collaborative relationship builder, with the ability to build partnerships and work with others to meet shared objectives.
