Job Summary

The Director of Manufacturing Engineering is a key leadership role responsible for driving continuous improvement in production processes and overseeing a project portfolio that delivers against strategic site objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multi-site manufacturing engineering and maintenance team to ensure production support activities are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide technical expertise to support new product development and launches, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and maintain validation plans and protocols to comply with GMP/ISO/CE regulations.
  • Manage budgets to achieve desired results and oversee the development of training programs and maintenance protocols for processes and equipment.
  • Lead staff in career development, training, and performance feedback to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Ensure compliance with established company policies, including those regarding GMPs, safety, and employee relations.
  • Participate in hazard recognition and control, including sponsoring capital improvements as necessary.
  • Verify compliance with controls and preventative measures, including PPE.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team building, driving innovation and performance.
  • Prepare and/or approve capital equipment requests with complete justification and analysis.
Requirements
  • 10 years of progressive experience in a technical environment with specific machining or mechanical assembly and automation experience.
  • 3 years of experience in engineering or other professional management.
  • Understanding of the business and ability to apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals.
  • Ability to make complex decisions, solve problems, and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborative relationship builder with the ability to build partnerships and work with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Talent optimizer with the ability to develop people to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals.
  • People influencer with the ability to develop and deliver multi-node communications that convey a clear understanding of the needs of different audiences.
