Position Overview

Hotel Equities, a distinguished name in hotel development and management, is currently seeking an exceptional Assistant Front Office Supervisor for our esteemed Hotel Northland Green Bay, WI.

Role Objective:

Support the Front Office Manager in daily operations and responsibilities to ensure financial success, maintain cost control, and uphold quality standards, guaranteeing complete guest satisfaction. Our warm and knowledgeable service assures guests they have made the right choice in selecting our establishment.

  • Uphold all standards of guest service excellence.
  • Oversee and inspire all Front Office staff through daily supervision, including hiring, training, disciplinary actions, scheduling, and performance monitoring to ensure compliance with service and productivity benchmarks.
  • Address and resolve all guest complaints in a prompt manner, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Manage room reservations, Front Office systems, inventory of supplies, scheduling, forecasting, and departmental budget to optimize revenue. Prepare and compile financial reports, including rate and availability calendars.
  • Engage with guests and team members both verbally and in writing to address inquiries and provide clear guidance to staff regarding work details. Organize and participate in meetings to share and gather essential information.
  • Implement and oversee all corporate marketing initiatives, including loyalty programs.
  • Conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings to relay important information. Regular attendance in line with company standards is crucial for success in this role. Employees with inconsistent attendance may face disciplinary measures.
  • Upon hiring, all employees must fully adhere to conduct and safety regulations, policies, and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Violations may result in disciplinary action.

Qualifications and Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience with major hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt is preferred.

This role necessitates the ability to:

  • Conduct room inspections, which may involve bending, stooping, reaching overhead, and moving throughout guest floors.
  • Assist with guest check-in/check-out processes and related service activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including special requests from guests.
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty program, which includes working second shifts and continuous monitoring of hotel operations.
  • Possess substantial knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations, and backup operations.
  • Demonstrate above-average mathematical skills to interpret and analyze operational data.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken, with guests and team members.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and supervisory skills to accomplish tasks efficiently.
  • Develop team members to promote career advancement within the hotel and company.
  • Analyze complex statistical data and make informed decisions.
  • Effectively interact with internal and external customers, often requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts.
