Role Summary

The individual in this role will provide essential support to TEP's leadership, enabling the Principal and CEO to focus on critical organizational priorities. This position offers a unique opportunity for those seeking an immersive, hands-on experience in urban education, encompassing various facets such as instruction, operations, policy, finance, and human resources.

The Executive Assistant to the Principal and CEO is tasked with enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of these leaders by managing their daily communications, schedules, and workflows. This role requires the ability to represent the Principal and CEO professionally with staff, families, and external stakeholders, demonstrating sound judgment in sensitive situations while assisting in resolving daily operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to the Executive Team (Principal and CEO) through meticulous calendar management, meeting coordination, project oversight, and administrative task completion, ensuring a balance between immediate needs and long-term objectives.
  • Communication Oversight: Manage all incoming communications directed to the Principal and CEO by organizing email correspondence, evaluating the urgency of messages, and facilitating timely and effective responses.
  • Document Preparation: Aid in the creation of reports, presentations, and correspondence for the Principal and CEO. Generate daily memos outlining immediate action items, ongoing projects, and a summary of critical communications, alongside an updated overview of key organizational metrics.
  • Specialized Projects: Engage in various specialized initiatives that stem from the work of the Principal and CEO, with project scope expanding as the individual gains organizational insight.
  • Strategic Input: Provide advice to the Principal and CEO on initiatives that support organizational objectives and act as a sounding board for discussions on diverse topics.
