Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Sexual Assault Program Coordinator to ensure the effective operation of the 24/7 Sexual Assault Response Program.
  • Assist in maintaining the SARP calendar and cover shifts as necessary.
  • Provide in-person and telephone advocacy for survivors, including crisis intervention and ongoing case management.
  • Facilitate medical and legal advocacy for survivors.
  • Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices in all interactions.
  • Develop and maintain self-care plans to address potential compassion fatigue.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Basic administrative skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and a positive attitude in crisis situations.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary certifications and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in team-oriented environments and non-profit organizations.
  • Knowledge of civil and criminal legal systems.
  • Higher education or training in relevant fields.
