Job Summary:

The Technical Media Producer is a dynamic role that combines technical expertise with creative vision to deliver exceptional live broadcasts and station programming. As a key member of the Gray Television, Inc. team, you will be responsible for directing live and pre-recorded productions, monitoring on-air streams, and ensuring compliance with FCC regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct live and pre-recorded productions, including newscasts, station productions, and web channel elements
  • Monitor and manage FCC program and transmitter logs to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with the newsroom computer system (AP ENPS) and other departments to meet daily demands
  • Train new personnel on technical equipment and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining clean studios and production areas
  • Operate a range of technical equipment, including robotic camera controls, prompter operation, audio operation, and in-house web production

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Operating knowledge of PCs and graphics computers
  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including late nights and weekends
  • Good or corrected hearing and vision
  • Ability to work on studio lighting fixtures on a ladder

Physical Requirements:

Sitting or standing for long periods of time
