POSITION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidates will possess comprehensive knowledge of machinery repair and maintenance operations, with proficiency in interpreting mechanical and electrical diagrams, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Skills in pipe fitting for air, water, and hydraulics are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair and maintain high-speed production machinery.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, including proper lockout/tagout procedures. Complete all required OSHA training and address any unsafe conditions.
  • Perform equipment changeovers as necessary.
  • Schedule and execute preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Install, repair, and rebuild equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems.
  • Resolve technical and complex mechanical challenges.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Lead and initiate solutions for technical or complex issues.
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Understand electrical systems and controls (PLCs).
  • Be available for extended hours and weekends as required; flexibility for various shifts is preferred.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Completion of technical school is advantageous.
  • A combination of relevant work experience and education may be acceptable.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • HVAC/R experience is a plus.
  • Electrical knowledge is preferred.
  • A mechanical background or experience is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work may be conducted in wet and cold environments. The pace is fast and demanding.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular standing and walking are required. Candidates must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as necessary while performing maintenance tasks.
