Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Multimedia Journalist to join our team at Hearst Television Inc. as a Local News Multimedia Journalist.
Key Responsibilities- Story Development: Identify and research important story ideas, conduct interviews, and gather information for news packages and live reports.
- Video Production: Shoot and edit high-quality video news packages, live shots, and interviews.
- Collaboration: Work with reporters, producers, and other team members to develop and produce news packages, special reports, and documentaries.
- Content Creation: Develop sources, create story ideas, and produce content for on-air, online, and all digital platforms.
- Live Reporting: Present live reports and news packages on-air, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Education and Experience: Professional or schooling experience in television news reporting, photography, and editing.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with viewers and deliver news in a clear and concise manner.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere or Avid Media Composer, and experience with live shot and interview production.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve newsroom goals and deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments under pressure.
