Key Responsibilities
As a leader in chip manufacturing based in the US, you will oversee a newly formed team of engineers acting as the primary connection between top-tier chip foundries and our clients. Your main objective will be to ensure your team delivers exceptional, customer-oriented support to startups, SMEs, universities, and system houses throughout their design and production processes. Your duties will encompass:
- Providing expert technical guidance to clients regarding design specifications, libraries, and wafer production methods.
- Verifying and ensuring the quality of chips designed by clients, utilizing documentation from manufacturing facilities and insights from past projects.
- Preparing chip designs for fabrication at foundries.
- Assisting clients with final approvals using advanced CAD software.
- Supporting the sales team in technical discussions with clients.
- Monitoring projects from inception to completion, ensuring all milestones are achieved.
- Managing all aspects of personnel as a Team Leader, ensuring effective human resource management.
- Encouraging collaboration within your team and with other Imec IC-link divisions.
- Utilizing your expertise to enhance the overall client experience.
- Ensuring your team is well-trained to deliver high-quality customer support.

Candidate Profile
- A Master's degree or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a focus on guiding team members through complex technical challenges in a client-focused manner.
- Essential competencies include initiative, client orientation, punctuality, teamwork, and motivation. Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are necessary to support our US clients.
- Familiarity with foundry technologies and an understanding of chip fabrication processes are crucial.
- A proactive approach to customer support, strong communication skills, and a willingness to take initiative are highly valued.
